The Rehabilitation Engineering & Assistive Technolgy Project at San Francisco State University

Information for Private Consumers

While the RET Project mainly works through third party payors such as the Department of Rehabilitation, Workers Comp, and insurance companies, we also work with private individuals. Since we do not receive financial support from the university or other entities, we must charge for our services. We do not bill Medicare or MediCal. Please contact us to discuss how we might assist you or a family member in addressing your particular adaptive technology needs.

Along with the other services mentioned on this site, we can help you with home and environmental access, safety concerns, tools for independence, baby care equipment, elder care and aging in place. We do not do major home modifications such as building ramps or remodeling bathrooms, but we can refer you to local contractors who provide these services.
